Our Alaskan Roots ⧐

Haines Packing Company is an artisan Alaskan seafood processor nestled in the small community of Haines, Alaska. Independently owned and operated by Harry Rietze, a third-generation Alaskan who oversees every aspect of the business to the highest standards possible.
Harry has intentionally kept the business small enough to ensure that no fish is overlooked. It’s a special kind of art and Harry brings this dedication and intimacy to his business through direct communication with his team, fleet, and customers.

A Responsible Source ⧐

In Alaska, seafood sustainability is written into the State Constitution. Our seafood is also certified for sustainability according to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) standards.

Every Piece Frozen at Peak Freshness ⧐

The seafood in every box is “fresh-frozen,” meaning frozen rapidly after capturing at the peak of quality. By freezing seafood quickly after harvest, the flavor, texture, and nutrition inherent in the catch is preserved. This quick turnaround ensures the fish has the same quality it would have had if eaten on the dock with the fishermen at landing.
